The Latest In Bird Nests

Housing as a commodity is a huge sector of the domestic economy. It seems as though what is the “latest” and “greatest” becomes more important than what is ecologically important. Many of our structures lack sustainable qualities.

 

This piece calls attention to the difference between most animals, who build naturalistic structures that coincide with the natural beauty of the earth and are 100% biodegradable, and humans whose structures do not follow natural forms and are not made of materials from the surrounding environment.
